It was 12:00 AM. Kiran said that it was 12:00 AM exactly. He took away my cell phone. I was trying to remove the cloth tied to my eyes, Kiran insisted and ordered me not to remove. He took my hands and was guiding me. I can understand that he was taking me down and we were moving on steps. He was trying to confuse me, he took me right left right left left and he confused me. He whispered 'You will stand here in surprise after I untie the cloth.' He slowly removed the cloth tied against my eyes.

I was standing in middle of the road. I was feeling excited. It
was calm, beautiful and there was no other disturbance. I saw at them with my
surprised face. I was looking like a child seeing the world for the first time.
Who celebrates their birthday in middle of the road but I was.! I never got
such idea.
'Hey' I laughed 'Are you planning to kill me on my birthday?' I
joked. Everyone was laughing at me. 'This must me Kiran's Idea?' I asked.
'It is!' He said.
The cake was arranged on our TV table right in the middle of the
road. The candle wax was almost into the cake. Kiran was forcing me to put
off the candles. But I was hesitating that they will beat me if I did. I am
going to have strong beating shots today.
I was putting off candles. Aah! I was dead. My back must have been
turned to red.
He handed me my Phone. I was having missed calls: Asha, mom few
other college friends. But there was no call from Parineeti. I was going to
dial her number and it was mom. She and Dad wished me and blessed me. It was
Asha as I ended the call and it was a conference call. My brother and Asha were
playing pranks with me that I was recently thinking more about love. I was
looking for a second to call Parineeti but it went long. And it was almost
ending and I saw that I see call waiting on my mobile and it was Parineeti.
I called her, she lifted the call and they all shouted.
‘Happy birthday Arjun!!!!!!’
‘Thank you. Happy birthday to you too Parineeti!!’
The day started like a bang but as the time was passing it gave me
more happiness. Parineeti and Sunanda were waiting at the restaurant. Kiran was
making it late and at last I succeeded to take him out. As I arrived Parineeti
was waiting for us, she was scolding us but I was not hearing her but was only seeing her. She was amazing. looking like a doll. She looks great in pink. And her
eyes! I was not able to escape myself as they stare me with anger.
So the party started, people joined us in minutes. There were 17
people there. 9 common friends, 6 others and us! It was fun with these people. We were mixed up and we were no more strangers in few minutes. They were making fun of me and Parineeti. And we both
were enjoying it. Parineeti turned to Pari and we did not notice ourselves
calling her differently.
We opened our gifts. They were beautiful watches. It was a group
gift. They looked alike and were very beautiful. It fitted Pari's hand and it looked nice.

We were in a funny conversation. Arpita, her roommate said ‘The
first day when Parineeti joined Arjun’s project, I asked her who is the most handsome
one in their office and she said..’ Pari was stopping her but she turned to me.
‘It’s you Arjun!!’ I was surprised. I saw Pari, her eyes said that
it was true. Now, I was blushing and Kiran caught me.
‘Heyy Arjun..!! Come on man!’ He was making fun of me but he
shouted suddenly ‘Wait!’. He turned to Pari.
‘I am too in the same office!! Did you change your decision after
you saw me?’ He asked. Everyone was laughing at him.
Pari smiled and answered ‘No!’
He cried ‘Nooooooo!’
The party was amazing. The people there made it beautiful. I was
thankful to them for creating a memorable day.
I was lying on my bed and was thinking about Pari. The best scenes
at party were running in my thoughts. Kiran sat there, he said ‘I have a funny
thing to share.’
‘What was that Kiran?’
‘I bought the watches for both you!’
‘Yes, They are beautiful and I liked it.’
‘The thing is..’ He was hesitating ‘I bought two watches inside
the budget’
‘Good thing. You are getting smart these days.’ I laughed out.
‘They are from Titan Bandhan collection’
‘What?’ I shouted. ‘They are couple watches?’.
I kicked him but I was not able to scold him as I was feeling good
about that.
‘There was a discount on that collection, so I selected them but
made him pack differently. So, No need to worry! They were packed differently
so they are no more couple watches’
‘Pari will kill you if she comes to know.!’
‘She will not because I selected it for her. And it complimented her!’. And I laughed out.
Things turned out to be more awesome than I thought. I was feeling
like we were made to be together. I am waiting for such moment when I will be
holding her hands. We will be together. Aah.. These days went infinitely
beautiful after I met Pari.. My Angel.!
