I Have You Episode 37 - I am a fool! I am a fool!

We reached Anshu's home. The living room was extremely quiet. I asked Anshu, "Where is grandma? Where is Vennela? And where is everyone?". She ignored my words and dragged me to her room. She handed over my bag to me and ordered me to get ready. I sat down on the sofa saying there is no need to hurry. She ordered me again and made me stand up. She went out and locked the door.

I sat down again. Thought about Teja for a minute. Looked at my mobile. There was no call from him.

Almost an hour passed ! I was wearing the dress. I was about to open the door.

"Anshu!" I smiled. She opened the door.

"Its good! But why are you not wearing any accessories? Use some makeup!", she was totally ignoring my facial expressions.

She forced me to sit down. She did something on my face. Then made me wear some ear rings. She handed me some bracelets. She took out the purple watch from my bag and gave it to me. I was surprised to see that. When did she get that into my bag? I noticed that all the accessories were purple and were going well with the dress. She started arranging my hair.

Anvesh came inside the room and interrupted her. She spoke something to him in low voice. He almost ignored me and was about to leave. I stopped him.

"Anvesh! How are you?", I asked him.

He went blank for a second. He almost laughed and spoke back to me, "I said something crazy to Teja! That was wrong! I really can't explain it to you! I already forgot about that! Didn't you get to hear it from Teja?".

 I was showing the disappointment on my face. He didn't even take my calls.

Anvesh continued, "Oh Yes! He is here anyway! You can speak now!". T E J A entered the room and Anvesh left.

I was ignoring Teja and was looking down. The purple watch came into my sight. I remembered the pain. I remembered the thoughts. Isn't it too soon for me? My eyes were almost filled with tears.

Teja spoke to me, "I am taking care of the heart fern. Don't worry about it.". I heard that and I smiled at him.

"Why didn't you take my calls?", I asked him without waiting.

"I sent you a message that I left my mobile at home and I am at Ganesh's place. How will I answer if I don't have my mobile?", He was looking at me curiously.

"You sent me a message?", I asked him back.

He smiled  and I started thinking. I received a message from Anshu's mobile that Vennela forgot her mobile and is at their place. Anshu interrupted me to confirm that it was Vennela. What exactly happened here?

Teja walked towards me. He stood very near to me and was smiling. What was he doing?

He took my mobile which was lying on the dressing table. He unlocked my mobile and started looking. He found something on it. He smiled! This time, his smile was representation of an acheivement.

He displayed the message he sent from Ganesh's mobile. He read the message out and the time it was received. I couldn't believe that I missed it. How did it happen?

I almost snatched my phone back. There were two same messages. Exactly the same!

"Ash! I left my mobile at home and I am at Anshu's."

One from Anshu and other from Ganesh. I thought I accidentally received Vennela's message twice. All that anger and all that sadness I felt, all of that! Disappeared!

I was laughing and was looking into Teja's eyes. He was smiling and so were his eyes.. 

I am a fool! I am a fool!

I Have You Episode 36: Happy Birthday Ash!

"Happy Birthday Ash!", Anshu shouted!

I started to scold her, "Don't shout so loud Anshu!". We started smiling at each other.

Anvesh was standing infront of me. He was capturing the moments and was teasing me!

"Woooh! Ash! You became old! Veeery old!", he started laughing at me sarcastically. 

And then I rememebred Teja. I became angry. Why did he come into my thoughts. Hmm! This T E J A! He is spoiling my birthday! It was so good last year! I stopped playing the last year birthday video on my mobile and called my mom. She didn't take my call. Great! She must be asleep! I spent some time trying to figure out why Teja wasn't calling back and then I fell asleep.

My mobile which was supposed to ring at 12:00AM, didn't ring at all! Even Anshu and Anvesh didn't call me. Busy people! I was reminding them about my birthday a few days back! Hey! I am buying a dress for my birthday! That! This! Still..!
Anyway T E J A is an irresponsible person! So, there was no need to add him to the list of busy people. He doesn't even know how to call back when he looks at the missed calls in his mobile. I got up from the bed and checked the time. It was 6:45AM. How could I sleep when this T E J A guy is making me angry! Veeery angry!

My mobile rang!

"Ash! I will pick you up from your home in 30minutes!".

30 minutes! This should be a joke! I was about to reject it.

"Ok! See You!"

I called back and there was no answer from the other side.

I brushed my teeth! I started pacing my stuff trying to understand the situation.

There she is! Entering my home without permission!

"What is this! I told you to get ready!", Anshu started staring at me.

"I was sure that you were joking!" I sat down and started smiling.

She continued packing my stuff.
She turned to me and asked, "Where is the main thing?".

"What?" I asked her.

"The dress!", She widened her eyes and ordered me to bring it.

I placed it in my bag and she was answering the call from Ganesh!

"He should have come upstairs instead of bothering us with his calls!", I laughed at her. She showed me her teeth.

I was teasing her, "Early morning! Romantic drive! Huh! Got a good reason to come out! It's my birthday and it's just an excuse to hang out with Ganesh this way!"

She sat down, "Romantic Drive! Hmm..!". She was speaking to herself and smiling!

Her mobile rang again. She grabbed my hand without taking the call.

We were seated in the car. Ganesh was driving. Anshu was speaking to Ganesh. It was like I didn't exist. It feels the same when Anvesh and Teja are seated on the front.

Anshu asked me, Why are you smiling? Oh! Was I smiling?

I answered her, "Oh! I thought I became invisble! I feel invisible even when I am travelling with Anvesh and Teja!". Ganesh and Anshu started laughing!

I asked her, "Both of you! You didn't wish me yet!". She started showing her teeth again! Her smile is mysteriously wider than usual.

I Have You Episode 35: Tomorrow is my birthday! Can't it wait?

I was asleep on the sofa. I woke up. My heart! It was hurting! I looked at my mobile which was blinking in front of me. It had few missed calls and messages from Anvesh. I saw the time and it was 12:12AM. Tomorrow is my birthday! Can't it wait?
I read messages from Anvesh.
"I sorted things with Teja! All good now!"
And I was worried about Anvesh! hm! I read the other message from Anvesh.
"But he is really mad at you. Speak to him."
It was too late to call Teja. I dropped him a message.

"Sorry Teja!"

I thought I should explain more.

"I know everything from past.."

I deleted it and started drafting another new message.
"I was worried about Anvesh! You know him more than me! Sorry I dindn’t listen to you! I will hear you tomorrow morning!"
I sent the message. I felt better. I just woke up and didn’t want to go back to sleep. I played music on my mobile. And I was thinking about Teja and Anvesh. These relationships are really hard to handle. It was so painful seeing them back then. It was so painful, asking Teja to stay away. It was so painful remebering Teja's face expression. I received a message. The time was 12:30AM. It was from Teja.
"Okay! Good Night Ash!"
What does okay even mean? Crazy T E J A! I was just waiting for the sun to rise, so that I can speak to Teja. So that I can hear him! Anvesh and Teja already went through a lot of pain. I shouldn't make it hard for them! I need to bring happiness to us.. to Teja.. to Anvesh.!

I called Teja a few times before I reached my office for work. He didn't take any of my calls. Whole day, I was checking my mobile thinking "Did Teja call back?". He didn't call back. I came back home. Cooked for me! Ate too much food looking at my mobile if he had called back. He didn't call back. No meesages too!

May be I should just stop everything! Maybe! Maybe It's too soon for me! All this! This was too soon for me.

I Have You Episode 34: Let's get rid of this loneliness!

Few days later, Anshu Ganesh Anvesh Vennela Teja and I went shopping. Teja bought me a beautiful dress. I was going to wear it on my birthday.

After shopping, I was sitting idle at the new temporary home and was thinking about today. I remembered the heart fern. One of my new best friends. I left it at the penthouse. I decided to bring it back even though its temporary. Let's get rid of this loneliness! I left a message to Vennela and started to the penthouse.

I arrived. I was walking to the backside of the penthouse. I can hear someone. I smiled and moved towards. They didn't notice me coming. Teja slapped Anvesh. It was very hard. I stopped and my eyes were wide open with shock. Teja was angry. He shouted at Anvesh, "Don't be so careless Anvesh!". Teja saw me and he bent his head. I spoke to Anvesh, "Anvesh! Are you hurt?". Teja shouted again, "Never do that again!".

Anvesh was in shock. He had no expression on his face. He is very sensitive. He must be hurt. He wasn't speaking.

Teja spoke, "Anvesh!". I replied Teja, "Teja! Please stop now! Leave him alone for now!".

Teja lowered his voice, "Ash! you don't know what happened?". His voice was filled with pain. But I was so worried about Anvesh and I got angry. Those words just came out of my mouth from nowhere. Same anger like Teja!

"Whatever the reason is..You shouldn't have slapped him. I don't know what happened now but I know what happened few years back. Your anger almost killed him once!".

Teja was disgusted with my words. He didn't say a word and he left.

Few seconds after that. Anvesh spoke "What just happened here?". I asked him again, "Are you okay?". He gathered his thoughts and feelings. He smiled. He really looked ok. He said,"Ash! I will explain this to you later! Please don't misunderstand Teja! No mistake from his side!". He ran away saying he has to speak to Teja.

I returned home. Heart fern was still living at the penthouse! It was peaceful! Awfully peaceful! Lonely! Awfully Lonely! I felt so sad. I regret saying those words to Teja. I shouldn't have spoke to him like that. A tear rolled on my cheek!

I Have You - Episode 33: Valentine's day special dinner.! Catch you later!

Teja and I were walking to go inside the restaurant. Teja was speaking in low voice, "That's not irritation! That's excitement!". I was recalling my memories from past few days. It does feel like excitement. Now, It doesn't feel like irritation anymore. I smiled. He asked me, "Do you feel connected to me now? Didn't you say ok for our marriage proposal?". I answered him, "I don't know! but...." I didn't speak for a moment. He asked me to continue, " but...? ".

"It doesn't matter Teja! It will be fun to have you!", I looked at him.

"Wow!", he was showing his teeth to me.

We didn't realize that we stopped walking. I was about to go inside and he started acting crazy. 

"I feel good. You accepted me. Can I a have a hug in this happy occasion?", He asked me.

"What a pervert?", I started walking.

"What?  just a hug?" He was speaking to himself.
He started speaking, "Monster! Gangster and now this! Great!".

We were inside. Vennela saw me and she asked me, "What's going on?". Anvesh was looking at me. I was sure that he wants to ask the same question.

I told them, "let's celebrate! I am getting engaged!".

They were surprised. Vennela asked me, "To teja?". I laughed out and told her that it was a bad question. Anvesh and Teja laughed at her. They started congratulating us. It was so festive. We had good time together.

That night, I was watching TV. That song from sanam teri kasam was playing on TV and I remembered Anshu teasing me. I called Anshu. She disconnected my call and left me a message.

"Out with Ganesh! Valentine's day special dinner.! Catch you later!😍"

That's why the restaurant was decorated. VALENTINES DAY!

Few Minutes later, I received a message from Vennela. "Open door!".

I opened it thinking why there's a message. She can just knock. I opened the door. There was a gift waiting for me at the door.

 T E J A! I smiled!

I lifted it. Big but light. I realized that it was empty and open from bottom. I looked down.

It's a heart fern plant on the floor. It was hiding under the empty gift box. Beautiful!

I took it inside. I saw the card on gift box. Happy valentines day! Love! Vennela and Teja😋

Vennela!

I thought of an appropriate place for the heart fern. I placed it there and these were my thoughts.
"This will stay here for a very long time. Welcome home heart fern!"

Few days later, I moved to my new temporary home. Who knows how long I am going to stay here? Two days later, I heard from Vennela that Teja's parents were back from the tour. Last few days, I was busy packing my stuff, meeting Anvesh Teja and Vennela. There was no much discussion about our engagement ceremony. This was the cooling period and this time won't come again. A strange kind of happy feeling!

I Have You - Episode 32: I just said OK! OK! And you come back with this?

I finished cooking dinner. I was wondering why Vennela wasn't there yet. So, I took my mobile and lher. She didn't take the call. I started eating. Vennela opened the door, came inside and she was speaking to me, "I was coming to you. So, I didn't take your call Ash! Why were you calling?" . I asked her if she had her dinner. She said that Teja cooked for her and she finished her dinner. She sat beside me, took her mobile out and sent me some links on my mobile. I ignored her saying that and asked her what they were. She declared,"homes to rent!". "What?", I smiled at her. Vennela is always full of surprises. She laughed in a weird manner and broke the news to me. Teja's parents are coming back from the tour. Oh No! I stopped eating and stood up to bring my mobile. She held my hands, pushed me back to my chair and asked me to finish dinner first. After finishing my dinner, we shortlisted few homes and planned to visit them in our free time.

Mom didn't call again. I was thinking. I should have said an 'Yes' to them clearly. I like him now. I smiled to myslef. He is ok! What does it even mean to them. I don't hate him! What was that? I feel so embarrased. I was having a peaceful life before this T E J A enetered my life. It's so tough to handle my feelings and thoughts. And how do I say a simple 'Yes' to momdad? Tough!
Vennela saw me smiling to myself and she asked me, "Why are you smiling?".
"I had a funny conversation with my momdad few minutes back. Just remembered it!" Thats what I told Vennela. She was curious about that but I didn't tell her.

Next day! I was having dinner together with Anvesh, Vennela and Teja. Teja was seated opposite to me. From Mr. Arrogant to gangster, from gangster to monster, from monster to rejected and from rejected to someone whom I like. I smiled at him. "Aren't you still angry with me?", Teja asked me. I answered, "Yes! Still angry!". I smiled and he smiled back. Vennela and Anvesh just existed. Hehe. Teja didn't speak more. Vennela was selecting the dinner menu for us. Anvesh was showing me some homes for rent. I heard my mobile ringing. It was my mom. I took it and she started speaking, "Ash darling! I spoke to Teja's grandmother just now. She is asking me when we can procced to engagement ceremony. She said that the sooner is the better!". I didn't respond to her and I was into my thoughts. What did she say? Engagement ceremeny? So soon? We were just discussing about it yesterday!. My mom asked me, "Ash darliing! Are you listening?". I asked her back, "Mom! I just said ok! OK! And you come back with this? This is not fair mom! Why are people in so much hurry?".  Three of them, - Vennela, Anvesh and Teja were staring at me with curiosity. My mom spoke to me, "Oh! Angry bird! Cool down! Our families know each other, there is no need for other formalities! We can just proceed with the engagement ceremeony! This is what Teja's grandmother said!". I alsmost shouted at her, "She is always in such a hurry! Mom! I will call you later! Give me sometime to cool down! Please". She wanted to speak but I convinced her and disconnected the call. I was gathering my thoughts. Three of them were staring at me curiously to know why I was almost shouting. I asked Teja to go out with me for a moment. He could see anger in my eyes. Anvesh and Vennela sat there in silence.

Teja was following me. I stopped at entrance of the restaurant - away from people. The restaurant entrance was decorated for some event. The colorful lights were blinking. Teja was standing infront of me. I remembered the day I rejected him. I remembered the day I realized my feelings for him. I smiled. I was no more angry. He was looking at me. I have to speak now. Why do I feel so embarassed?
"What was that Teja? Engagement ceremony? Why is your whole family in so much hurry? You propose out of no where? Vennela says welcome to family? Your grandma says engagement ceremony?" I was non-stop speaking. I didn't give him a pause to speak.
He spoke after I gave him a long pause, "Padma told me that you agreed with the marriage proposal. She didn't mention the engagament ceremony to me!". He smiled mischeviously. He was happy. I could see that. So irritating!
"Causing so much irritation! I will reject everything now itself if you irritate me more. Engagement ceremony! So soon! Let me relax and understand my feelings first!", I almost shouted on him. People passing by were looking at him. So awkward! Oh No!
He smiled and answered, "Relax Ash! Let's go inside! No one will bother you!".

I Have You - Episode 31: I think he is handsome! I laughed out loud.

Vennela was looking at me. Teja was smiling after he saw me laughing. That was the moment all those questions arouse and answers were found immediately within my self.
From the time Teja entered my life, the thing which occupied my thoughts the most was him! I was so much irritated by his presence! Even now, he is laughing like a monkey in front of me. Irritating! I was irritated because of his actions. I could have eliminated all that in a second if I wished but I didn't. Why? I realized that I really wanted him to be around. The way he shows attitude! The way he takes action! The way he expressed commitment towards our future relationship. It's all very impressive! My heart rate grew higher. I remembered those memories where my heartbeat got higher from the last few days. It was all because of Teja.  I realized that I was attracted to his behavior for a long time. I can't even remember when this started.
I smiled and asked Teja, "Why are you bothering me Teja?".
He smiled and answered me, "I am not bothering you! You misunderstood me! I want to be happy just like you! Your simple personality is really something! You get happy with almost everything!  You are smart and you look good!". He turned to Vennela and asked her, "Isn't it Vennela?". Vennela's eyes were wide open. She smiled, nodded her head sighing a yes and she went aside.
I countered him saying, "There are many people who are smart, good and with a simple personality! Why don't you go and bother someone else Teja?".
He smiled at me and stood up. He spoke those words and left me there, "Ash! I was lucky enough to meet you! I will hold you instead of going around!". Vennela followed him saying good night.
Those words were simple but the impact was powerful. I felt some powerful feeling rushing inside me. My heart was trying to pump harder. I smiled and went inside the penthouse.

A few days passed!
One day after office, I reached home and saw my mom calling on phone. I took her call.
"Ash Darling! Did you eat your dinner?", She asked.
I can clearly sense she wants to speak something else. "Mom! I just reached home! I still have to cook. Shall I call you back after some time?".
"Ash Darling!"
"Yes, Mom!"
Dad sent you some messages. Did you have a look?
Oh! Is it? I switched on the speaker and opened my dad's messages.
They were photos and bio-data of T E J A. Teja! I felt like laughing.
"Mom! I know him! Why are you sending me his profile?", I asked her.
She answered me, "That's just a formality Ash! So! What do you think about him?".
I wasn't answering and was thinking. What to say to my mom and dad?
"What do you think?", I asked her. She was delivering me the thoughts of my father, "Papa thinks that the family is really good. He is interested!"
I smiled and asked her, "What about you mom? What do you think?".
She said, "I think he is handsome!". I laughed out loud. She laughed too. I spoke to Anshu's parents, Anvesh, Anshu and few other family friends. They all gave very good feedback on this kid. I don't want to get him away." I was laughing without any sound.

She was so much impressed with him and his family. She started speaking about her conversations with people. May she spoke with around 15 people. It was a very long call. I was getting hungry.
"Mom! Your networking skills are amazing!  Let's speak later! I am going to cook now!", I interrupted her.
She said, "Hm! All is good! But... But you said that you don't like him!".
Did I say that? When? I tried recollecting! Yes, I told her that I don't like him.
"Mom, Please.....Do we really have to discuss this now?". She replied instantly, "Yes! We have to!". I was muted, thought for a moment before I spoke, "I don't hate him! He is OK!".
She repeated my words, "You don't hate him! He is Ok!!" and asked me back, "Then, are you okay to marry him?"
"Whaat?.. Mom!!", I wasn't answering her.
She repeated my words, "Whaat?... Mom!!" and asked me back, "What does that mean?"
"That means I want to cook and eat! Don't irritate me mom! Lets speak later! Bye!"
"But.." She spoke back and my dad snatched away that phone from her, "Call you later Ash! Have dinner first!". Oh! She was repeating so that my dad can know what I am speaking! She should just have switched on the speaker. I laughed at them and started cooking.
