I was looking if Parineeti was at her desk. I was little work less
today and I was looking for her to come. I was thinking to have a chat or
disturb her as soon as she was here. The day was going slow. She was not here,
and it was almost lunch time. Will nothing happen today? Why was she not
coming? Is she sick? Do I have to ask someone about her? Shall I call her?
I was sitting at the table with silence,
thinking about this day running without her. No one was speaking about her.
What would have happened? I was looking at news. It was flashing about some rupee
slide in India, What I would know about all these! I turned my head. Parineeti
was there. I was feeling heaven. She started speaking and everyone was
listening to her with interest.
'Why were you late today, I was missing
you!' Kiran said.
'Stop it Kiran! And listen to me, I went
to my friends home to congratulate her. She is getting married. Her parents
said yes to her Love and she is very happy. I specially went there to listen
all that. The best part was that Kabir, the bridegroom was a Muslim, still
they succeeded to make this happen. They were looking great today.' she paused.
I offered her some water, she drank some
and continued again. She was looking great to me as she was speaking. I was
speaking inside me, 'I am proud that I like someone like you!'.
She started again.
'They were telling about how they made all
this happen and I was listening to them.
And I enjoyed it so much!
Sunanda, My friend! was telling that
Kabir's family was expecting her to adopt islam, but he assured and supported
her that 'I like you because you are YOU! I do respect your religion because
you respect it. No need of any religion adoption!'
He is such a nice guy.! I wish I too meet
a person like that in my life!'
Kiran interrupted her 'You are always
welcome to my life!' everyone was laughing on his comedy.
She received a message, she had a look and
spoke out.
'I have one more good news to share. My
father is happy that I said 'Yes'.'
'Are you getting married too?' Kiran
shouted. I was almost dead.
She shouted on him, 'First listen to me
completely! My dad has been asking me to join him in his business from months.
Today I was in a great mood and I agreed to him!'
'Will you be leaving us?' I asked and it
was a reflex. Everyone had the same question in mind but I was the one who
brought it out.
She smiled and said 'I will not be leaving
you people but I will be leaving this job! May be in next 3 months!'
Oh No! She will be leaving and I will not
be seeing her after 3 months. But she was happy for that, so I have to accept
this.
I have to google the distance between
Delhi and Bangalore. Hope for Parineeti's plan to change. The day was awesome
with her words but the news of her leaving.. cracked my heart. Will I be able
to convince her in future to stay here in Bangalore. I was doubtful but I have
to accept this. And also I have to think about my future plans. I feel like am
still on the wrong path, where am I heading in my life. I am curious and I
started thinking about it. Parineeti made me think today!
