It was 2:00 AM in the morning and I
woke up with the thought of Pari getting married to some ‘X’. I found out that
Kiran was not in his bed. He was not in bathroom too. The room door was open
and I went out looking for him. He was looking into sky, standing in the
corridor.
'Are you feeling sleepy?'
'No! I am very disturbed Arjun!' his
voice was low.
'What happened Kiran? Is anything
wrong?' I inquired.
'I will tell you but not now! Go and
sleep!'
'Are you coming?'
'No. I need some more time..'
I nodded and went inside. I slept
again.
Kiran was waking me up. It was only 6
AM. I was requesting him to let me sleep. He was successful waking me up. We
got ready and had our breakfast. We were early to office.
'Let’s go to the terrace.!' Kiran took
me there. He made me sit and he started.
'Arjun! Am sorry I never admitted this
before. But I have to..' He looked serious and his words were too. They were
sincere and those words concerned me.
I could see that it was a serious discussion
which was started, I was determined to support him and encourage him to get
those words out.
'Kiran! Whatever it is, I will be there
to help you out!'
He felt good and we continued.
'Arjun! I Love Mounica!'
'What?' I shouted and stood up. There
was no one there on the terrace, so it didn’t matter if I shouted.
Kiran made me sit.
'What? Why did you ever tell this to me
Kiran? I am feeling bad!'
'Arjun! Listen.. I have never admitted
this to Mounica. I was afraid losing you both... I was afraid that we will be separated
if something wrong happens. I will allow nothing to separate us even if it is
my love for her. 'I could see his eyes, they were true. He was not making fun
nor it was a joke, but the reality. I was not able to believe those words but
it was the truth. I was speechless and was staring Kiran.
'Arjun! There is a problem which showed
up recently.'
'What is it?' I was very curious.
'No one other than my mom knows that I
liked Mounica. After Mounica left to Australia, I almost left all my hopes. It
is true that I still love her but I am worried about Kavitha..! I shouldn’t
have started all this!'
Oh No! I almost forgot about Kavitha.
Now what else is going to come into this life? Oh God! Save my buddy!
'Kiran! What are you upto?'
'Let me finish Arjun! I was never clear
about Kavitha. I don't know what she feels about me. We were happy till now as
friends but the thing which bothers me is Mounica.'
'Why? What happened?' I asked
curiously.
'Mounica felt bad after knowing that I
speak a lot with Kavitha. She almost insisted me to stop speaking with her.'
'What?'
'Yes! I think she likes me too. She
didn't say anything directly but her behavior was entirely different with me.'
I was speechless again and I was just
hearing.
'She was fighting with me about that in
the car that day. She was too sensitive about it that she cried. I was into
trouble from that day. She was angry on me. We were fighting a lot after that.
I went away when she was speaking about that marriage match, because I was not
able to bear it. We again fought on the terrace when she was leaving, she was
angry on me because I was speaking about Kavitha.'
'Ooh No!'
'What Arjun? What's wrong?'
I was looking at his face and thinking.
Someone is going to get hurt whatever may happen. I have to end this until this
is too late. If Kavitha gets hurt, Pari would be angry on me and our relation
would become a threat. And if Mounica is the one who will be hurt, I will lose
her. Two people whom I love the most.. This issue was sensitive and needs
immediate clarity.
'Kiran!I understood.. But? Let me make
this clear! You love Mounica but you were hopeless because you never wanted to
lose us.. Am I right?'
'Yes'
'You still love her.. I mean Mounica?'
'Yes'
'You are afraid if you will end up
hurting Kavitha?'
'Yes'
'Do you want to make sure whether
Mounica loves you?'
'Yes'
'Let's see what can be done! But do not
upset yourself..'
He nodded.
The day went without Pari but with her
thoughts. I was wondering about her as well as about Mounica. We have to wind
this up or else it is going to hurt one of our dearest ones. The whole day was
passed with thoughts and plans to clear up things. Kiran was not him and so was
I without Pari near me. I have to come up with a solution to fix this. Mounica
will be leaving on 10th and this has to fixed before she leaves..
